Does anyone think there's too many double standards in the MLB Hall of Fame voting?

think about it..pete rose and shoeless joe jackson arent even allowed on the ballot because they gambled on the game, and yet steroid users are on it. i forgive the steroid users and everything but isnt it a little unfair that pete and joe arent even allwed on the ballot? also, steroid users will have a tough time getting in and yet there are spitballers in the Hall..honestly i think hitters like mark macgwire and sammy sosa using steroids would be no different than say, cy young using the spitball
